What will I be doing?
You will study a range of modules including:
- Working in engineering
- Machining
- Welding/Fabrication
- Electronics
- Maths and science
- Computer aided design and manufacture
You will complete a mixture of workshop practical assessments and short theory assessments, as well as developing your Maths, English and employability skills.
If you don't already have a grade C in Maths and/or English GCSEs, you can retake these.
What is expected of me?
To enrol you’ll need a minimum of 4 GCSEs grade E or above, to include Maths and English (or Welsh as a first language)
What comes next?
This course is designed for progression to a Level 2 Diploma in Engineering Technology.

You’ll need Personal Protective Equipment, such as boots and overalls, the cost of which is approximately £40 You’ll also need to supply your own stationery and folders.
