Anyone with an interest in videography, photography and drone operation.
This course will offer a unique opportunity to study the following:
When to use a drone – as part of the production process and their limitations.
Drone movement and techniques – how to manoeuvre your drone and maximise its capabilities.
Planning the shoot from ground to air – how to create effective pre-production materials and understand the demands of a director or D.O.P.
Getting the right shot- location tips and how to get an insight into choosing the right angles; where to stand; how to communicate with others on location (if appropriate), and how to safely complete your operations in line with the CAA regulations.
Selecting the right equipment – finding equipment that will be most appropriate for the job and the right drone for you.
Preparing for the edit – consider how to gather the correct footage for post-production and provide guidance on what is required for successful edits.
The course will be a mixture of theoretical seminars and practical applications (weather permitting). Also, you will have access to a state of the art studio and editing suites.
An interest in drones and becoming a skilled operator is essential. It is also advisable to bring the following:
- Your drone
- Fully charged batteries (and charger)
- Your drone 's camera(s) if not integrated with the system
Please wear appropriate clothing for the season (including sensible shoes) and a pair of sunglasses when you are out on location.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided in a break-out room.
