In a nutshell
This course covers the repair and servicing of cars and light vehicles and covers all aspects of repair and maintenance, including electrical and electronic work and use of IT.

What will I be doing?
The course offers Apprenticeship opportunities in both small independent garages and large main dealerships. The course is delivered through:
- Practical sessions in a realistic working environment (RWE)
- Classroom based learning
- Tutorial support
- Group work
You’ll be assessed through practical and written assignments, presentations, portfolio work, observation and demonstration. Upon completion, you’ll achieve:
- Level 1 Light Vehicle Maintenance
- Appropriate supporting qualification(s) to broaden your skill set and meet the needs of industry
- Skills Activities
- Maths and English
What is expected of me?
You'll need to be numerate, creative and have a keen interest in engineering. We also expect you to be self-motivated, hard-working, punctual and committed.
