This IT User qualification will enable you to use a variety of software applications and systems, such as Word, Excel, the internet and databases. You will develop an understanding of the fundamentals of computing systems and customer care. Developing your skills in problem solving, time management and confidence.

Course content

Possible units studied include:

  • Customer support provision
  • Testing ICT systems
  • Plan Delivery of ICT Support Services
  • Maintain ICT Equipment
  • Install, configure and upgrade ICT software
  • Technical documentation and procedures

Entry Requirements

You’ll need a minimum of 4 GCSEs grade C or above to include Maths and English/Welsh First Language, or appropriate Level 2 Diploma qualification with GCSE Maths and English/Welsh First Language at grade C or above.

Industry experience will also be taken into account.

Additional information

Assessment of your work could be carried out both internally and externally in the form of examinations, assessment work and multiple choice online tests.
