Whether you’re an experienced or newly-qualified electrician, this course will bring you up-to-date with the latest wiring, electrical equipment and systems regulations, covering the 18th edition of the IET Wiring Regulations recognised by the British Standards Institute as BS7671::2018 (2382-18).

Taking place over 4 days (including examination), this is a very specific course covering a variety of topics:
- The legal status and association with statutory documents
- Scope, object and fundamental requirements for safety
- Assessment of general characteristics
- Protection for safety
- Selection and erection of equipment
- Inspection and testing
- Special installations or locations
At the end of the course you’ll be assessed by a two hour multiple choice question paper set by City & Guilds.
There are no formal requirements, but this is a compulsory qualification for practising electricians or newly qualified electricians to work to the latest IET Wiring Regulations.
Course cost: £495 per learner
Books required: British Standard - Requirements for Electrical Installations: BS 7671:2018 Amendment No 3: IET Wiring Regulations Eighteenth Edition (Paperback Blue). Learners need to purchase this book themselves. The College can purchase books on the learner’s behalf if requested.
This course runs Monday to Thursday (4 days) including examination.
Please note there are no canteen facilities on site during half terms.
