City & Guilds Accident Repair (Paint) Apprenticeship Level 2

An integral part of vehicle accident repairs is painting bodywork to a high standard. If that’s a career that appeals to you, this Apprenticeship gives you the necessary knowledge and skills to get your career off to a good start, while being employed and paid while you’re learning. At the end of it, you’ll have achieved a Level 2 NVQ Diploma.

Apprenticeships involve a mix of learning in the workplace and college training, giving you the opportunity to practice and embed new skills in a real work environment.
You'll be assessed through coursework, tests, assignments, work-based observations and work-based evidence, and as you progress through the course you’ll achieve a number of qualifications as part of the Level 2 Apprenticeship:
- Level 2 NVQ Diploma
- Level 2 Diploma
- Essential Skills Qualification Communication
- Essential Skills Qualification Application of Number
- Essential Skills Qualification in Digital Literacy
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities
On completion, we expect you to be able to carry out your accident repair role confidently and competently to the standard set by the Industry.
To qualify for this course, you’ll need a Level 1 Diploma and/or GCSE grade E or above, and must be employed in the automotive industry, be paid at least the national minimum apprenticeship wage and have a Contract of Employment. As an Apprentice you'll need to attend college on a day release / block release basis, and we’ll want you to be fully committed to attending as well as respecting others, having an enthusiasm for the subject and being self-motivated. Your employer must also pass the necessary Health and Safety vetting.
Completing this course will enable you to move on to a Level 3 Apprenticeship programme. Our Accident Repair Apprenticeship is part-financed by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government.
