CACHE Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools Level 3
In a nutshell
Following on from the Level 2 qualification, this course is designed to help those in a school support role understand the importance of the essential work they do. As part of the course, you’ll be expected to gain practical experience in a school at Foundation Phase or Key Stages 2-4 for at least one day per week, as an employee or volunteer – so it’s important you arrange your placement before enrolling.
This course is for...
…anyone in a support role at a school as a classroom assistant or learning and support assistant, or in a voluntary support role.
This course will introduce you to units that reflect the importance of supporting teaching and learning. Recognising the essential support work carried out in schools in helping children achieve their potential, this course adds support for progression and transfer across the children's workforce within schools.
You’ll need Level 2 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in schools. However, if you have significant experience in an appropriate setting you may be able to progress directly to Level 3. We'll discuss this with you at interview.
If you’re working in a voluntary capacity you’ll need to have a DBS check through your placement.
