CACHE Certificate in Caring for a Child/Children Level Entry
In a nutshell
You’ll look at all parental responsibilities, antenatal care and all aspects of caring for a child to the age of two years. You’ll also study essential skills qualifications and follow a full tutorial and enrichment programme.

What will I be doing?
This course provides you with an opportunity to develop basic skills in caring for children, which can be used as a basis for further training.
You’ll be assessed through assignments and on completion you’ll achieve:
- Entry Level 3 Award Caring for Children
- Entry Level 3 Certificate in Vocational Studies
- Entry Level 3 Certificate in Personal and Social Development
- Additional relevant qualifications to broaden your skill set
What is expected of me?
There are no formal entry requirements but full commitment to attendance is required, as is respect for others, enthusiasm for the subject, self-motivation and a passion for the care industry. You’ll be continually assessed and there is an expectation that you’ll continue your studies and coursework during your own time.
What comes next?
Level 1 course in childcare or a related area of study.
All learners will have to have a satisfactory DBS check
