In a nutshell

An ideal introduction to basic bookkeeping, this course will help you learn the fundamental skills needed to manage your accounting records. It’s designed for both individuals and businesses.

Course content

To study this course, you simply need to have an interest in the subject and be willing to learn how to:

  • Track accounting transactions in double entry bookkeeping
  • Apply basic accounting rules
  • Understand basic accounting terms
  • Produce useful information relating to sales, expenses, assets, equity and liabilities

At the end of the course there’ll be a formal test and you’ll receive a Coleg Gwent certificate. From there you can continue exploring the world of accounting, perhaps by enrolling on a Level 1 or Level 2 Accounting qualification accredited by AAT.

Entry Requirements

All you need is a passion for learning and an interest in bookkeeping.
