In a nutshell
This course is for students who would like to study on a Higher Education programme in Forensics, Science or Criminology eg the Criminology and Forensic Investigation BSC (Hons) but need to gain the required entry qualifications and skills.

What will I be doing?
The course will prepare you for further Criminology and Forensic Science studies. You will also gain skills such as time management and will explore methods to help you develop research skills which will help you with further and higher education studies.

There are no formal examinations but you will be continually assessed through coursework such assignments, tests, presentations and project work. You will achieve the Agored Cymru Access to Higher Education Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science.
What is expected of me?
No formal academic qualifications are required however the course demands a high level of dedication. There is an entry assessment which you will need to pass to be accepted on the course. GCSE grade C in English and Mathematics is desirable.
Full committment to attendance is required. Respect for others, enthusiasm for the subject and self-motivation are the essential qualities we expect to see in all our learners. You will be continually assessed and there is an expectation that you will continue your studies and coursework. All assignments must be successfully completed in order to achieve the qualification.
What comes next?
You can go into higher education in areas such as science, criminology, police studies, forensic investigation and social sciences.
