...those who are planning to follow a mathematics course at AS level or a Level 3 qualification, and who may have been out of education for a period of time.
The course is designed to stretch and challenge and will help learners develop confidence in formulating and reinforcing manipulative algebraic and trigonometric skills which are contained in the GCSE Mathematics specification.

Studying this course will leave learners well prepared for the further study of mathematics and other disciplines, allowing them to be creative in mathematics and have the confidence to engage with challenging problems.
Although there is no specific requirement for prior learning, this specification builds upon the knowledge, skills and understanding developed in the GCSE or equivalent programmes of study in Mathematics as defined by the National Curriculum.
A B grade or above in GCSE Mathematics is desirable.
