AAT Professional Diploma in Accounting Level 4
In a nutshell
A Personal Learning Account is a new initiative from the Welsh Government. The initiative will offer people the chance to access free, part-time courses that offer flexible and convenient learning around their existing lifestyle.
AAT qualifications develop relevant and practical accounting and finance skills for life. If you are looking to improve your prospects and earning potential in an accounting environment, this course will help you achieve your goals
This course is for...
...anyone over 19, living in Wales, in employment and earning less than £26,000 a year.
...taking the next step in your career in the Accounting sector.
...anyone who wants to develop the knowledge and experience needed to undertake account roles in a range of business settings.
The course covers a host of accounting topics through six units.
- Financial statements of limited companies
- Management accounting – budgeting, decision and control.
- Accounting systems and control
- Credit management
- Cash and treasury management
- Synoptic element
You will study at college for either one full day or two evenings per week, whichever suits you best.
To complete this qualification, you will undertake six computer-based assessments.
Completion of AAT Level 3 or you must have extensive experience in an accounting role.
After completion, you can study to become a chartered accountant or even a financial consultant; this is an extremely popular route - a third of all AAT students go on to chartered studies. You can also study related postgraduate courses.
This qualification would enable you to progress a career in finance or to provide accounting services on a self-employed basis.
