The following topics are studied at AS Level:
Unit 1: Government, Rebellion and Society in Wales and England c. 1485-1603
Unit 2: Weimar Germany: 1918-1933 Students of History will have the opportunity to engage in masterclasses with prestigious universities, attend history summer schools and participate in a history based trip to promote wider understanding of this subject.
In AS and A Level History, there are facts and concepts to understand about how the society in which we live has evolved. But in studying the subject, you’ll also develop essential skills such as research analysis, evaluation and communication.
To enrol on this course, you’ll need a minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, and a minimum of a C grade in English and Mathematics/Numeracy.
You’ll need to make financial contributions to the travel cost of educational visits. Typical visits would include local castles and heritage sites, as well as the opportunity to take part in a foreign excursion related to the AS/A level History course.
After booking your course you have 14 days to change your mind and request a full refund. You can still request a refund after this date, but this will only be given if you meet the criteria from the college fee policy.
If your chosen course starts within 14 days of you booking your place, then the 14 day refund policy does not apply and any refund will be subject to the college fee policy.
