Buying a house and getting a mortgage is one of the biggest financial decision we make in our lifetime. Most people seek advice from a professional Mortgage Advisor, to discuss the best option for them.
The role of a Mortgage Advisor is to help individuals decide which of the many financial products, services and providers is best for them.
CeMAP is the starting point for mortgage advisers and,as the industry-standard qualification, will enable you to launch your new career.
This course is available as part of a Personal Learning Account (PLA). PLA is an initiative from the Welsh Government which offers people the chance to access free, part-time courses with flexible and convenient learning that fits around their existing lifestyle (subject to eligibility).

Course content
For the CeMAP® Modules 2 and 3 you will study:
- Unit 3: Mortgage LAw, Policy, Practice and Markets
- Unit 4: Mortgage Applications
- Unit 5: Mortgage Related Protection Products
- Unit 6: Mortgage Payments Methods and Post-Completion Issues
- Unit 7: Assessment of Mortgage Advice Knowledge
You will get a thourough grounding in the mortgage application process, including the different products available and the issues borrowers may face after completion, while also consolidating all knowledge you gained throughout the course and learning how to apply it to different scenarios.
Entry Requirements
You will need to have passed Certificate in Mortgage Advice and Practice (CeMAP) - Module 1 exam to start on this course.
Additional information
This course is delivered by virtual classroom. Virtual classrooms are equivalent to face-to-face classroom courses, but delivered in an online environment.
You will need to put aside 4 days to attend this course.
eLearning is also included in this course, to help you reinforce what you have learnt in the virtual classroom prior to sitting your exam.
You will need to book the exams seperately with LIBF and claim all costs back from the college on course completion. LIBF have been working alongside their exams testing partner (Pearson Vue) to provide students with the option of sitting their exams remotely. This means you need to have access to an internet enabled device with a microphone and a webcam.
