NOCN_Cskills Awards NVQ Diploma in Construction Site Supervision (Construction) - Retrofit Level 4

In a nutshell

The qualification/pathway has been developed for achievement in a real workplace environment. This qualification enables the learner, to recognise their skills, knowledge and understanding as well as demonstrating their competence in the workplace when carrying out the role of a Site Supervisor. Industry will accept the qualification/pathway on its own as entry to a job role.

A Personal Learning Account is a new initiative from the Welsh Government. The initiative will offer people the chance to access free, part-time courses that offer flexible and convenient learning around their existing lifestyle.

This course is for...

... anyone aged 19+, living in Wales, in employment, looking to take the next step to a great career

... those individuals who are involved in the domestic building sector, particularly those who are already involved or are looking to become involved in decarbonisation/energy efficiency projects

... those working in the construction industry and specialising in retrofit

Course content

This qualification/pathway supports the learner to attain enabling, fundamental and transferable practical skills with associated underpinning knowledge.

The learner will learn key practical skills and knowledge through mandatory and optional units.

In order to achieve/pass this qualification/pathway learners must successfully complete/achieve all thirteen Mandatory units and two Optional units.

There are no classroom lessons, just practical on-site visit(s) by your tutor/assessor. Any on-site visits are designed to have minimal impact to your working day.

Entry Requirements

You will be assessed based upon your current knowledge, any questions and professional discussions can be done in your own time. To undertake any NVQ you will need to have prior knowledge and experience of the chosen skill/pathway.

Candidates must have basic level of literacy, be in employment and have access to an observable working situation. Basic IT skills may be required but aren't essential.

Additional information

Further training and/or experience could enable entry into supervisory and management positions within the workplace.
