Course content
Apprenticeships involve a mix of learning in the workplace and college training,giving you the opportunity to practice and embed new skills in a real work environment.
You'll be assessed through coursework, tests, assignments, work-based observations and work-based evidence, and as you progress through the course you’ll achieve a number of qualifications as part of the Level 3 Apprenticeship Framework:
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma
- Level 3 Diploma
- Essential Skills Qualification Communication
- Essential Skills Qualification Application of Number
- Essential Skills Qualification Digital Literacy
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities
On completion, we expect you to be able to carry out your maintenance and repair role confidently and competently to the standard set by the Industry.
Entry Requirements
To qualify for this course, you’ll need a Foundation Apprenticeship and Level 2 Diploma. You’ll also need to be employed in the automotive industry, paid at least the national minimum apprenticeship wage and have a Contract of Employment. As an Apprentice you'll need to attend college on a day release / block release basis, and we’ll want you to be fully committed to attendingas well as respecting others, having an enthusiasm for the subject and being self-motivated.Your employer must also pass the necessary Health and Safety vetting.
