Course content
You will be learning about the personal and practical skills in working in the hairdressing industry. You will carry out a range of activities including hands-on hairdressing. You will learn about what it is like to work as a hairdresser and the steps involved in setting up your own business. As there are no formal assessments, this course builds confidence and skills before deciding whether to follow a more formal accredited route in the hairdressing sector.

There are no formal entry requirements.
Additional information
You will need to wear an appropriate salon uniform and purchase a basic hairdressing kit, costing approx £250. Further details will be supplied before the course starts.
