The course will aim to provide parents and guardians with techniques and resources that will equip you with the knowledge and confidence to support anyone studying WJEC GCSE Mathematics at intermediate tier.

Course content
The course delivery will focus on the following elements:
- Formal tuition on each topic area
- Exam techniques and how your child will be assessed
- Highlighting common misconceptions – what to watch out for!
- Discussion on the different ways the topic might be taught to your child
Taught by experienced GCSE lecturers, this course will cover the key topic areas from the WJEC GCSE Intermediate specification. This includes:
- Number
- Measure
- Statistics
- Algebra
- Geometry
- Probability
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but a basic understanding of number and shape would be helpful.
Additional information
This course will be assessed internally, with the opportunity to sit an internal examination at the end for those wanting to achieve a Coleg Gwent certificate of completion.
