Learn how to create volume and smooth, frizz-free hairstyles using blow drying and styling techniques, using the right hair tools and styling products to give your blow dry that 'walk-out-of-the-salon ' look.

…beginners with an interest in blow drying, styling and finishing hair. …existing hairdressers looking to update their skills.
Course content
The course covers:
- Health & Safety
- Hair and scalp analysis
- Shampoo and condition
- Product recommendation
- Aftercare and price guidance
- Demonstration of various drying techniques
Drying techniques include the use of tongs, straighteners and curling wands. You will practice on long and short hair heads or live models if preferred.
You’ll be assessed informally, with verbal feedback from your tutor in the classroom, and after this course you could go on to other non-qualification courses or a qualification-based hairdressing course.
Entry Requirements
There are no formal entry requirements, just an interest in the subject.
Additional information
We’ll supply materials such as head blocks and stands, but you’ll need to buy your own brushes and combs which can be purchased in your first session and cost around £10.00. You may wish to bring your own brushes and combs, and might prefer to wear an apron.
