In a nutshell
This course will focus on covering the essential topics and skills found in the WJEC GCSE Foundation exam specification.
The course is designed to help you develop the practical skills you need to use mathematics in everyday life. It will strengthen your knowledge and equip you with a maths toolkit to aid you throughout real-life situations.
With many professions and courses now requiring a C or B grade in GCSE Mathematics, this course will aim to fill in any foundational gaps in knowledge and allow future GCSE learners to make accelerated progress at intermediate tier.

... those wanting to study WJEC GCSE Mathematics at Intermediate Level in the future.
Taught by experienced GCSE lecturers, the course will cover a substantial proportion of the current WJEC GCSE Foundation specification. This includes:
- Some aspects of Algebra
- Some aspects of Geometry
- Some aspects of Probability
- Develop problem solving skills
There are no formal entry requirements for this course.
This course will be assessed internally, with the opportunity to sit an internal examination at the end for those wanting to achieve a Coleg Gwent certificate of completion.
