Target Audience

This course is designed for those who would like to gain a comprehensive understanding of the fundamental features of the MS Excel spreadsheet program. There are no formal entry requirements for this course as you will be guided through the skills that you will need to develop a sound working knowledge of the program, and how to best utilise its features.

Course Aims

This course has been specifically designed to give new users a solid foundation in using and creating spreadsheets thus enabling them to use Excel efficiently and effectively in the workplace.

Course Objectives

The course covers a broad range of skills to encompass the fundamental and most commonly used features of the program to enable users to create professional and functional spreadsheets that incorporate: Worksheets and workbook fundamentals Creating and modifying worksheets Cell formatting text and numbers Working with basic formulae and functions Charts and graphs Conditional formatting Finishing modifications

Course Duration

1 day course (6 hours). Candidates will be awarded a college certificate of attendance upon completion of the course. Progression Opportunities: Microsoft Excel 2010 Intermediate.
