All Coleg Gwent Campuses deliver courses to 14-16 year-old school pupils in partnership with their school as part of a Welsh Government scheme to provide them with vocational skills. These pupils mainly come from the five local authority areas that the College primarily serves but some also travel to us from further afield including schools in England.

Working closely with the schools to offer vocational courses, pupils come into College for anything from a few hours a week to up to four days a week, depending on the agreement with the pupil and the school.

We have pupils on a wide range of courses including Engineering, Construction, Landbased, Creative Industries, Retail, Business and Care.

For many young people this is the only opportunity to develop the practical skills that employers are currently looking for and many of them will go on to be full time students at Coleg Gwent or become Apprentices.

We also have some sixth form pupils from local schools attending college alongside their school classes to do Level 3 vocational courses, or at some of the Campuses, A Level subjects that their school does not offer for example, Psychology.
