City of Newport Campus’s hall came alive with song and dance last week when ILS students preformed at their end of year gangshow. Complete with a ‘man-eating-chicken’, a joke telling challenge, an energetic Elvis medley and their own variation of ‘So long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, ta-ra’.
Family, friends, staff and fellow students gathered to celebrate the end of the year as they joined in with a very enthusiastic performance of ‘Heads, shoulders, knees and toes’.
The show was followed by a presentation of certificates to those achieving their qualifications. But it wasn’t just their academic success that was recognised. Head of school for care at the Campus Chris Robertson said at the event: “As well as the fantastic achievements by these students in the last 12 months, I’ll also remember the group for how many events and shows they’ve invited me to! They’ve really embraced college life and are enthusiastic and determined in all that they do.”
Chris also thanked the students for their help during the College’s recent Estyn inspection and recognised the impact their online safety video Think B4 You Click has made across the College.
