Coleg Gwent's Crosskeys Campus team celebrate winning the Colleges League.

Coleg Gwent’s Crosskeys Campus rugby team have beaten Coleg Sir Gâr 17-16 to win the Colleges League in dramatic fashion.
Students battled against driving wind and rain in the closely-fought Colleges League Play-off final held at Bridgend RFC.
Coleg Sir Gâr were the first to score, but Coleg Gwent fought back with penalty kicks from Ethan Davies and scrum half Luke Crane made the score 14-10 at half time.
Despite Coleg Sir Gâr edging in front in the second half, Coleg Gwent fly-half Niall Martin kept his nerve with a drop goal to secure victory deep into injury time.
Coleg Gwent’s Scott Matthews was awarded man of the match for his efforts at the breakdown and in defence.
Sports Lecturer Steven Llewellyn said: “It was a closely fought match played in difficult conditions, but the team thoroughly deserved their victory following exceptional form throughout the season. They should all be very proud of their success.”
