We work with several local and national funding bodies and have a range of options available to help you achieve your goals. Our experienced advisors will support and guide you to the right one for your business.

Upskilling@Work is funded by the European Social Fund through the Welsh Government and is designed to enhance skills and increase productivity in the workplace in businesses across Wales. It provides opportunities for employers to gain accredited qualifications and upskill their workforce by offering up to 70%* funding for accredited courses. In some cases, and for a limited time, the funding could cover 100% of course fees!

The Benefits to You

Training through Upskilling@Work is completely demand led, meaning it is designed to completely meet the needs of your team and be delivered at a time and place convenient for your organisation. Training can be carried out at all levels, from Entry Level 1 all the way through to Level 6. The training will help your workforce gain the job specific skills needed to nurture growth, increase productivity and drive up profit.

What Courses are Covered?

The great news is that Upskilling@Work covers a wide range of subjects, including NVQs, ILM-accredited training and lots more. Some of our most popular courses include:

Highfield Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Catering or Manufacturing

Highfield Level 3 Award in Food Safety for Catering or Manufacturing

Highfield Level 4 Award in Food Safety for Catering or Manufacturing

ILM Level 2, 3 or 5 Award in Leadership and Management

ILM Level 3 or 5 Certificate in Effective Coaching and / or Mentoring

City & Guilds NVQ Assessor and Verifier Awards

EAL Level 2 or 3 NVQ Diplomas in Engineering Maintenance

EAL Level 2 or 3 NVQ Diplomas in Fabrication and Welding

City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 NVQ Diplomas in Hospitality and Catering

We also offer a range of NVQs in Customer Services, Business Admin, Management and lots more.

Any business – large, small, private or public sector – in the South East Wales area should qualify for this funding.  However, there are some specific eligibility criteria, so make sure to contact us for further advice.

The Redundancy Action Scheme (ReAct), provided by Welsh Government and supported by the European Social Fund, supports individuals living in Wales to gain new skills, overcome obstacles and improve their chances of returning to work in the shortest time possible following redundancy.

If you‘ve been made redundant in the past 3 months, the ReAct programme may help with a grant of to up to £1,500 towards support packages to help you gain new skills, retrain or change career.
